116 LEDVANCE devices have Works with Home Assistant certification; Home Assistant says they use Wi-Fi and Matter and need no cloud service.

More lighting choices for Home Assistant homes

The quick read
  • LEDVANCE is joining Works with Home Assistant with 116 certified devices.
  • Every certified device connects through Matter over Wi-Fi.
  • Check the certified device list for the individual products.

LEDVANCE is joining Works with Home Assistant this month with 116 certified devices, expanding the lighting and plug choices for households using Home Assistant (opens in a new tab). Every certified model connects through Matter over Wi-Fi, and Home Assistant says they communicate directly with the system without requiring additional equipment.

Home Assistant lists flexible strips for lighting kitchen cabinets, floor lamps and ceiling fixtures among the certified products. It says most offer adjustable white lighting or color lighting, with IP-rated options intended for bathrooms and gardens. Its certification list identifies the individual models covered.

Local control and options for existing lights

According to Home Assistant, the SMART+ Plug adds automation to ordinary lamps or appliances, and the smart wall switches allow existing ceiling bulbs to stay in place. It also lists outdoor floodlights and spotlights that can respond to motion detection through automations.

Home Assistant says its team checked all certified LEDVANCE models against the program's privacy and local-operation requirements, using its certified Matter integration and a standard Wi-Fi network. It says these devices need no cloud service, reports LEDVANCE's commitment to continued support, and credits Matter with allowing their use on other smart-home platforms.

Certification does not determine whether every other LEDVANCE device can work with Home Assistant. Home Assistant says an unlisted product may still function but could be awaiting testing or use a connection type outside the program's current testing scope.
