Home backup with a 7.2kW option
- TITAN 5000 Plus pairs 7.2kW output with a 5kWh battery.
- TITAN 5000 and TITAN 5000 Plus are scheduled in the $3,000 range standalone, or the $7,000 range with panel and installation.
- EcoFlow says website availability starts October 13.
EcoFlow launched TITAN Series today, led by TITAN 5000 Plus, which combines a 5kWh battery with 7.2kW output for household backup (opens in a new tab). EcoFlow says that model can simultaneously power lights, a refrigerator, a TV and a 3-ton central air conditioner without needing a soft-starter.
EcoFlow says sales through its website will begin today. Planned standalone pricing falls in the $3,000 range for both TITAN 5000 Plus and TITAN 5000, with packages including installation and a panel in the $7,000 range.
TITAN 5000 Classic is scheduled in the $2,000 range standalone, or the $5,000 range including installation and a panel. EcoFlow plans to provide further pricing information on November 3.
Connecting backup to household circuits
According to EcoFlow, with its Smart Home Panel 10, TITAN 5000 Plus and TITAN 5000 can connect to the grid and existing rooftop solar from third parties without replacing the home's main electrical panel. The company lists support for 10 circuits and 50A whole-home current, with EcoFlow claiming a transfer to battery power takes less than 20 milliseconds during an outage.
EcoFlow says battery capacity can grow from 5kWh to 30kWh through additions of 5kWh. EcoFlow says X-Fusion 2.0 PV Boost raises TITAN 5000 Plus output to 10kW in homes equipped with solar.
EcoFlow says TITAN 5000 Plus uses OASIS 3.0 forecasting to adjust household energy use. EcoFlow says Time-of-Use (TOU) automation through the EcoFlow App charges from the grid during the lowest-rate periods and uses battery energy when pricing peaks.
