A clear account of your information.

The appliance repair or replace planner calculates in your browser. Your entries are kept in the open page and are not sent to us, saved to an account or included in analytics. Reloading the page resets the entries. Printing or saving a PDF makes a copy under your browser or device controls. Ordinary page-view and connection handling still applies.

The newsletter is optional. Submitting the form requests HouseTuned emails. We send a confirmation email. A new subscription begins only after you follow its link and confirm on our website. No additional welcome email is sent after confirmation. We keep the request time, source page and later subscription choices so we can handle delivery and opt-outs.

The form uses browser and connection information to reduce spam and repeated submissions. A temporary cookie displays the sign-up result. Our email and security service providers process the information needed to handle your request. Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us about access, correction or removal of newsletter records.

We receive your email address, the message and any details or attachments you include. That information is used to respond, investigate a problem or handle your request. Please leave out passwords and sensitive account information.

Our hosting and security services use connection information such as your IP address, requested page, browser details and request time to deliver pages, investigate errors and protect the site. Security features may use cookies to distinguish legitimate visitors from abuse.

Umami provides cookieless page-view measurement. It processes connection and browser information into audience statistics. Google Analytics uses analytics cookies. It runs on public pages by default. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Quebec and a few other places where prior agreement is expected, it starts only after you agree; we use country or region information from your connection to tell which applies. Measurement records the page address, the page title and the page that referred you.

Names, email addresses, form text and this site’s URL query strings are not sent as analytics data. We exclude audience analytics from private editorial previews and do not use session replay.

Where we ask first, “Cookie settings” in the footer lets you change your answer at any time, and a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track browser preference keeps Google Analytics off. Declining stops later Google Analytics measurement and attempts to remove its cookies that this page can reach. Everywhere, you can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site storage. Google also offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site: Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Removing cookies does not erase data Google has already received. Cookieless Umami measurement continues either way.

Our search checks HouseTuned titles and summaries, without an external search service. The words you enter appear in the search URL. Do not enter private account information.

Hosting, security, email and audience measurement services process the information needed for their roles. Umami uses our analytics service; Google processes Google Analytics data. Information may be processed outside your country. We may disclose information as required by law or to address fraud, abuse or security issues. Other sites linked from a guide have their own privacy practices.
