Two new cordless tools join the Go lineup
- KitchenAid added a cordless Grater, Slicer, Shredder and a Handheld Vacuum Sealer Starter Pack to its KitchenAid Go Cordless System.

KitchenAid announced an expansion of its KitchenAid Go Cordless System, adding a cordless Grater, Slicer, Shredder and a Handheld Vacuum Sealer Starter Pack to the line (opens in a new tab). Both run on the system's interchangeable, rechargeable battery, so they work away from an outlet. The new items are available now on KitchenAid.com.
The grater, slicer, shredder comes with three blade cylinders for grating, slicing and shredding ingredients such as cucumbers, cheese and potatoes. KitchenAid says it shreds an 8 oz block of cheddar in 30 seconds and slices a fresh cucumber in 15 seconds, and lists up to 48 minutes of runtime from the 12v MAX battery. The blade cylinders, food pusher and shroud are top-rack dishwasher safe.
The handheld vacuum sealer starter pack is built to seal proteins, leftovers, pantry staples and fresh produce, which KitchenAid says can reduce food waste and help protect against freezer burn. KitchenAid says a full charge can seal more than 500 plastic zipper bags of 2-quart capacity, with results varying by recipe volume. It lists up to 268 minutes of runtime, and its liquid barrier cap, wine sealer accessories and containers are top-rack dishwasher safe while container lids are hand wash only.
One battery across the whole system
Every appliance in the KitchenAid Go Cordless System uses the same interchangeable 12V MAX battery, so a household only needs one battery to start. Models across the line are sold with and without a battery, which is why each new tool carries two prices. KitchenAid lists the maximum initial battery voltage as 12 volts measured without a workload, with a nominal voltage of 10.8.
KitchenAid describes the grater, slicer, shredder as a cordless alternative to preparing ingredients manually or using a food processor, and says its blade cylinders can be stored compactly. The vacuum sealer can also be used to prep sous vide recipes in KitchenAid Go plastic zipper bags, and its storage bags are included with the starter kit and sold separately. KitchenAid says runtime will vary with the recipe or food and that battery life is affected by factors such as battery age and use.
The prices are suggested retail prices, and KitchenAid notes that retailers set their own prices.
