A nugget ice fridge with an OLIPOP twist

Whirlpool and OLIPOP announced a collaboration built around nugget ice in the refrigerator door. The sweepstakes entry period opened at 12:00 p.m. ET on September 15, 2026 and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 28, 2026, with entries taken online at Whirlpool.com (opens in a new tab). The prize units are limited-edition models that carry OLIPOP-branded in-door bins.
Winners receive ten cases of OLIPOP, custom merchandise and a $500 cash prize. The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older, and it is void in Alaska, Hawaii and where prohibited. No purchase is necessary, and buying something will not improve the odds of winning. Whirlpool Corporation of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Olipop, Inc. of Oakland, California are the sponsors.
Whirlpool says a nationwide retailer promotion will run from late October through early 2027. Purchasers of models WRFC7436T and WRMC7436T will be eligible to redeem an offer for one free OLIPOP case. OLIPOP's fall flavors in the mix are Crisp Apple and the newly launched Caramel Apple.
What the refrigerator does
Whirlpool says the refrigerator compresses ice sheets to form nuggets and uses technology that helps keep them from sticking together. The company puts filtered-ice production at a maximum of three cups hourly or 15 pounds over 24 hours, with capacity to hold as much as 2.4 pounds.
According to Whirlpool, an EasyReach Zone is meant for organizing and reaching tall items, and a Flexible Temperature Drawer lets you set a temperature for what you store there. The 4-Door versions add a Freezer-to-Fridge Zone that switches between freezer and fridge use. Emily Spaeter, Whirlpool Senior Brand Manager, said the appeal of this ice is texture. "People love the unique texture of nugget ice for the way it feels and the way it elevates beverages, but up until now, the only way to enjoy it was to eat out or to buy a separate appliance".
