Five new lights, all with Thread and Zigbee

Aqara used IFA 2026 in Berlin to show five new lighting products: the Floor Lamp T1, LED Downlight T2, LED Strip T2, Outdoor String Lights H1 and Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 (opens in a new tab). Every one of them supports Matter, and each offers both Thread and Zigbee connectivity. The company is demonstrating all five at its booth in Hall 1.2, Booth 157.
The Thread option matters for households that don't want another hub. When a light runs on Thread, it can join a compatible Matter ecosystem without an Aqara Zigbee hub, though a Thread Border Router is still needed. Recent HomePods and Apple TV models can fill that role for Apple Home users. Through Matter, the lights work with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, Home Assistant and Homey.
Choosing Zigbee instead keeps a light inside Aqara's own ecosystem, where it can tie into the company's sensors, switches, hubs and Aqara Home automations. That dual-protocol approach is one Aqara has leaned on more in its newer products.
What each light brings to a room
The Floor Lamp T1 stands 1,420mm tall and uses a side-emitting design meant to wash a wall with light rather than beam it straight out. Aqara says it has a 16-bit, five-channel lighting chip with 18 individually controllable zones for gradients and multicolour effects, plus adjustable white from 2,000K to 9,000K and a maximum output of 1,000 lumens.
The LED Downlight T2 has an ultra-thin profile aimed at ceilings with limited installation depth. Aqara plans two versions: an RGB CCT model with 16 million colours and whites from 2,000K to 9,000K, and a CCT-only model with tunable white up to 1,200 lumens. Both include power-off memory, so the light returns to its previous state after an interruption.
The LED Strip T2 packs 108 LEDs per metre and uses the same 16-bit, five-channel technology as the floor lamp. Each three-metre section has 18 controllable zones, and the strip can be trimmed for cabinets, shelving and other indirect lighting. The strip supports effects that react to music. Aqara Home users will also get AI scene tools that turn a written mood description into lighting settings.
Outside, the Outdoor String Lights H1 bring individually controllable zones and weather-resistant construction to patios, terraces and balconies, with whites from 2,000K to 9,000K alongside colour. The Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 are built to stay up year round, with independently controlled LEDs, an extendable system that can be cut to fit a roofline, and weatherproofing for permanent installation. Aqara also introduced Aqara Builder, a community platform for enthusiasts, installers, developers and creators, which it is showing at the same booth.
