A screen for kitchen routines and home controls
- HomeView costs $299 and has a 7-inch screen.
- Preorders are open, with shipping scheduled for November 13.
- Tabletop and wall-mounted versions each cost $299.
Apple has introduced HomeView, a $299 smart display with a square 7-inch screen for recipes, FaceTime calls and household device controls (opens in a new tab). Preorders are open, and shipping is scheduled for November 13. Launch markets include India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the UK and the US.
The tabletop model combines a speaker base with an adjustable arm supporting the display. A separate $299 version mounts on a wall without that base, with options for plug-in power, in-wall power or in-wall PoE. Both versions offer the same features, and color choices include space gray, rose pink, silver and starlight.

Personal data features rely on an iPhone sharing the network
HomeView includes Siri AI, which supports spoken requests and can draw on personal information in messages, email and calendars. Access to that personal context requires facial recognition plus an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone connected to the same network. The 12-megapixel camera has no physical cover, and Apple says its uses are limited to facial recognition and video calls.
For connected devices, HomeView serves as a Matter controller, a Thread Border Router and an Apple Home hub. It supports local operation of compatible devices alongside scenes and automations, and can show as many as nine live HomeKit Secure Video camera feeds.
In the kitchen, HomeView can show recipes and run several named timers. Center Stage keeps callers framed during FaceTime conversations, while customizable screen layouts offer widgets for household controls, clocks and to-do lists.
