Room size, speeds and who it suits
- Check that your ceiling height and room layout match the open floor area you're trying to clean.
- The HEPA H13 filter captures particles down to 0.1 microns, so it handles smoke, pollen and pet dander.
The Medify MA-40 is built to clean 1,793 square feet in an hour, or 896 square feet in 30 minutes, with a CADR of 406. That means an open-plan living area, a finished basement or a large bedroom can be covered by one unit instead of several smaller purifiers.
You get three fan speeds, a 0-8 hour timer, sleep mode and a child lock on a touch panel. The lowest speed runs at 46dB and uses 110 volts, so it can stay on overnight without much noise.
We recommend it if you want strong particle and odor removal for a big room and you don't want to manage a smart app or Wi-Fi setup.
What the price means
At $212.49, the purifier is listed against a typical price over the last 90 days of $247.01. That's a saving of $34.52, or 14 percent off the recent average.
The filter is a consumable, and Medify says it lasts 3,000 hours, or about six months of continuous use. You'll want to factor in replacements when you compare the up-front price.
It is below the typical $247.01 price over the last 90 days for this purifier.

Placement, noise and filter care
Put the MA-40 on the floor with some clearance around it so air can move freely. The sleep mode dims the panel lights, which is useful in a bedroom, and the child lock keeps settings from being changed by kids or pets.
The filter replacement indicator on the touch panel takes the guesswork out of when to swap the HEPA filter. Medify's six-month estimate is based on continuous use, so your actual interval depends on how often you run it.
The unit runs at 110 volts, so check that your outlet matches before you plug it in. At 46dB on low and 66dB on high, it's not silent at full speed, but the low setting is quiet enough for most rooms.
When it's not the right purifier for you
If you need a purifier for a small room, this is more machine than you need and takes up floor space. A smaller unit will cost less and still clean the air.
If you want app control, voice assistant support or air-quality readings, this model doesn't offer those features. The controls here are basic and physical.
Finally, if you won't keep up with filter replacements, the MA-40 won't perform as intended. The filter is a required consumable, not an optional extra.
