Alen 25i HEPA Air Purifier at $152.15

What the Alen 25i clears from your air

The Alen 25i is a room-scale HEPA purifier for a bedroom, living room or home office. Alen rates it for spaces up to 400 square feet, so it's meant to serve one room well rather than a whole floor.

Its H13 filter captures particles as small as 0.1 micron, which is the size range that includes dust, odors and viruses. The SmartSensor reads the room, then raises or lowers fan speed to match, and a color-coded ring shows the result: blue for clean air, purple when particles are elevated.

We'd consider this a sensible pick for a bedroom or quiet workspace where filtration runs around the clock. Alen says the 25i emits pink noise, and the brand points to SleepScore Labs research on sleep quality. If you want a purifier that blends into the background, that design intent matters more than a bold airflow claim.

What $152.15 buys you here

At $152.15, the 25i sits about $25.90 below the typical price over the last 90 days, which works out to roughly 15 percent off. That gap is worth taking if you want filtration now, since the price is simply running below its recent norm.

Alen says the Essential filter can last up to a year when the purifier runs around the clock. Filter replacements are the ongoing cost to keep in mind, and the replacement price isn't listed here, so check that before you commit if long-term spend is a concern.

Alen also claims a total energy cost of $0.12 per day when the unit runs 24/7. Your actual electricity rate may shift that number, but it's a useful anchor if you plan to leave the purifier on continuously.

Placement and filter upkeep

Give the 25i a spot with clear space around the intake and exhaust so air can move freely. In a bedroom, that might mean a nightstand or open corner; in a home office, a spot where cords won't be a trip hazard and the sensor can sample room air.

The SmartSensor is the part you'll interact with most, so watch how the ring color responds in your space before deciding the unit is too aggressive or too passive. Alen says filters last up to a year with continuous operation, but dusty homes or rooms with pets may need attention sooner.

Check the replacement filter price and where you can buy it locally before purchase. A purifier is only as useful as its filter supply, and that cost isn't covered here.

When the Alen 25i is the wrong fit

Skip this one if you need coverage for a large open floor plan or multiple rooms at once. The 400-square-foot rating is a single-room figure, and expecting it to serve a whole apartment will leave you disappointed.

If quiet operation at night is non-negotiable, the 25i is designed around that, but you should still confirm the fan noise is acceptable in your bedroom. And if filter cost or availability is a dealbreaker, price the replacements first. This is a solid $152.15 pick for a medium room with steady filtration needs, not for someone who wants a set-and-forget purifier with no consumables.
