- U.S. preorders begin today for all three outdoor models.
Ring introduced four new 4K cameras today, including Indoor Cam 4K, alongside a new 2K pan-tilt indoor model. In its announcement (opens in a new tab), Ring says the 4K indoor model has a physical privacy shutter and the pan-tilt model tracks movement, with 360-degree pan coverage, a 175-degree tilt range and 2K video.
Indoor Camera 4K and Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera 2K are available to buy today in the U.S., while Outdoor Camera 4K Plus, Spotlight Camera 4K Plus and Floodlight Camera 4K Plus open for preorder. Amazon directs shoppers to its local websites for prices and regional details.
Both indoor cameras are also on sale in Canada and several European markets, including Germany and France. Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera 2K is additionally available in Australia and New Zealand. Outdoor Camera 4K Plus preorders extend to Japan, alongside Canada and several European markets.
Power choices and privacy controls vary by model
Ring lists five power configurations for Outdoor Cam 4K Plus: PoE (Power over Ethernet), hardwired, plug-in, solar and battery. The company says Spotlight Cam 4K Plus has a 550-lumen spotlight, with solar, battery and plug-in configurations, while Floodlight Cam 4K Plus supports smart detection and continuous recording around the clock.
According to Ring, Indoor Cam 4K has dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and a 115-degree viewing angle. The company says the 2K pan-tilt model detects motion using computer vision; shutting its physical privacy shutter disables its microphone as well as its camera.
