Some Bistro Pro electric grills are affected

Char-Broil is recalling Bistro Pro electric grills because of an electric shock hazard, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall covers about 10,605 units sold in the US and another 342 in Canada, and it was issued in conjunction with Canadian authorities (opens in a new tab).
Sales ran from October 2025 until June 2026, with prices ranging from $150 to $250. Both tabletop and full-size versions are affected. Finishes included Emerald, Blackout, Red and Black; CHARBROIL appears on the control panel at the front.
Sales outlets included Walmart, Lowe's and Ace Hardware, with online sales also through Amazon.com and Charbroil.com. Manufacturing took place in China. The importer, Char-Broil LLC, is based in Columbus, Georgia.

Only grills stamped with date codes 2510, 2511 or 2512 are part of the recall. The four-digit code follows a YYMM format, so those three codes stand for October, November and December of 2025.
CPSC says the heating element's grounding wire may detach, removing protection against electrical faults and creating a shock hazard. Its notice directs owners to stop using affected grills immediately and contact Char-Broil for a repair kit at no cost.
Owners are asked to register at www.charbroil.com/BistroProFix. They will receive instructions, screws, a wrench, a screwdriver and a label to attach after completing the repair. Char-Broil offers a $25 digital gift card for use at participating retailers when owners submit photos documenting their completed repair.
Char-Broil also accepts inquiries at recall@charbroil.com or 866-671-7988. Phone hours are Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. MT. CPSC lists no reported injuries or incidents.
CPSC designates this a Fast Track Recall. The agency says federal law prohibits sales of recalled products when the Commission orders the recall or when a voluntary recall proceeds in consultation with CPSC.
