NETGEAR Orbi 770 Series WiFi 7 Mesh System at $232.99

Expanding your Orbi 770 network

This satellite is built for one job: extending an Orbi 770 Series WiFi 7 mesh system into rooms or outdoor spots your current setup doesn't reach. It's not a standalone router, so we'd skip it unless you already own the RBE771, RBE772 or RBE773.

One satellite covers up to 2,750 square feet, which is roughly a wing of a house, a finished basement or a stretch of backyard. The tri-band design with Enhanced Backhaul is there to keep devices fast while they roam, and the Orbi app handles setup so the satellite joins your existing network name rather than creating a second one.

What this price means

At $232.99, this is $40.51 below the typical price over the last 90 days of $273.50, a 15 percent difference. It's also the lowest price in the all-time window.

Our advice is to extend coverage while the gap between this and the typical price is large enough to matter on a single-satellite purchase.

Placement and coverage checks

Place the satellite roughly halfway between your router and the weak area, not at the far edge of the dead zone. That keeps the backhaul strong, which is how the tri-band design keeps devices fast.

Check the Orbi app before ordering to confirm your base model is RBE771, RBE772 or RBE773. Also confirm you're in the US, since this unit is made for US use only.

Who should skip this satellite

If you don't own an Orbi 770 Series system, this add-on won't work for you. It's also a poor fit if one satellite's 2,750 square feet already covers your space, since you'd be paying for range you don't need.

Your last check is your internet plan. The satellite can keep devices connected, but real-world speed still depends on your service and the devices you're running.
