What this purifier is built to do

Before bringing it home
  • CADR of 119 CFM for smoke, 123 for dust, 147 for pollen and 121 for PM2.5
  • Auto, Pet, Sleep and Eco modes plus timer, child lock and filter reminder
  • 6-way bottom intake and reusable pre-filter for hair and lint

This is a purifier aimed squarely at homes with cats or dogs. Its 6-way intake sits around the bottom so it can pull hair, lint and dust close to where that debris actually gathers, and a reusable pre-filter catches the larger strands before they reach the high-efficiency oval filter. We'd consider it for a living room or bedroom where shedding is a daily fact of life.

The airflow numbers are the useful part of the story. AHAM Verifide testing gives it a CADR of 119 CFM for smoke, 123 for dust, 147 for pollen and 121 for PM2.5. In practice that means roughly 4.8 air changes per hour in a 184 ft² room, dropping to one change per hour in a space up to 893 ft².

Modes cover the usual routines. Auto adjusts fan speed from the built-in sensor, Pet Mode pushes stronger airflow, Sleep Mode quiets things down, and Eco is there for when air quality is already good. There's a timer, a child lock and a filter reminder, plus an aroma compartment and a top outlet cover. The sturdy top doubles as a resting spot for a curious cat.

What the price means for your budget

At $89.99, this sits $17.27 under the typical price over the last 90 days, a 16 percent difference. Our advice is that this is a fair entry point for a unit with a pet-specific intake design, and it also matches the lowest price we've seen in the all-time window.

Plan for filters as a recurring cost. KNKA says to change them every 3 to 6 months for best performance, and the unit uses genuine KNKA filters, which you can find by searching B0H7JCYCZY on Amazon. Check the current filter price before you buy so the ongoing cost fits your budget.

One thing to handle on day one. The filter ships with plastic packaging that needs to come off before installation, or the purifier won't move air the way it should.

Room fit, placement and upkeep

Give it floor space rather than a shelf. The bottom intake needs clearance underneath and around the base to do its job, so keep it off thick carpet pile and away from furniture that blocks the sides. If you want to use the aroma compartment, add only pet-safe scents, since cats and dogs are sensitive to some oils.

The reusable pre-filter is the part you'll touch most. It's designed to catch the larger hair and lint, so check whether KNKA specifies a cleaning routine for it and follow that rather than guessing. The filter reminder will tell you when the main filter needs replacing.

When this one is the wrong pick

Skip it if your main room is much larger than the coverage figures suggest. One air change per hour in up to 893 ft² is modest turnover, so a big open-plan space shared with several heavy shedders may need more capacity than this unit offers.

It's also not the right choice if you want the purifier tucked out of the way up high. This design is meant to sit low and capture hair near the floor, and a wall-mounted or tabletop position would work against that. For a smaller room or a bedroom where a pet sleeps, though, the setup lines up well.
