What this camera is built to watch
- We recommend it if you want local storage and a solar panel you can position separately from the camera body.
- We'd skip it if you expect the camera to follow movement on its own.
This is an outdoor camera for the person who wants to see the yard, driveway or shop entrance without running power to the corner. The panel is adjustable on its own, so you can angle it toward the sun while the lens keeps facing the area you care about.
Footage lands on 64GB of local storage you can expand, and recording continues when your network drops. That matters if you would rather keep clips at home than pay a monthly fee for cloud storage. The lens is rated 2.5K with a 4MP sensor, and four LEDs support color night vision alongside infrared.
We'd consider this camera for a yard or driveway where you want wide coverage from one mount. The mount pans and tilts across 360 degrees, so one unit can cover more of a yard than a fixed camera. Automatic tracking is not part of the package, so you aim it yourself and it stays where you set it.
What this price means
At $219.99, this sits $64.01 below the typical price over the last 90 days, a 23 percent difference. The all-time low is also $219.99, so this matches the cheapest this camera has sold for.
The listing comes from the ARCCTV app, a Homebase station and the camera. There is no subscription in the box, which is the point of the local storage, and COOAU states the 64GB capacity can be expanded.

Placement and what to check before mounting
The solar panel needs enough direct sun to keep the battery topped up, so walk your intended spot at different times of day before you drill. Panels angled away from the camera body give you more freedom here.
The Homebase connects by Ethernet or Wi-Fi and supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands plus Wi-Fi 6, which helps when the camera sits far from the router. Ask yourself how far the base station will be from your router, since that link carries every feed.
The app shows up to four cameras at once and includes privacy zones and Alexa support. Check the app permissions on your phone before setup, and check that your Wi-Fi password and Bluetooth are ready for the pairing step.
When this camera is the wrong fit
Skip it if you need a camera that follows a person or vehicle through the frame. Tracking is not supported on this model, so a moving subject can leave the view while the lens stays put.
Skip it if your mounting spot stays in shade most of the day, because the panel is the power source. If you want footage stored in the cloud instead of on the card, this camera's local-first design is not aimed at you.
