A narrower option for large laundry loads
- LG has announced a new 25-inch WashTower.
- Separate drums can wash and dry loads of up to 20 kilograms each simultaneously.
- Rollout is scheduled for Asia, the Middle East and Latin America later this year.
LG today announced a 25-inch LG WashTower that puts independently operated washing and drying drums in one vertical appliance, with simultaneous capacity of up to 20 kilograms in each drum (opens in a new tab). It adds a size between the existing 24-inch and 27-inch WashTowers for households choosing an appliance to fit their laundry space.
LG plans to start the rollout later this year across Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. Additional markets are scheduled to follow beginning in 2027.
The centrally located Center Control™ panel has a 6.8-inch touch LCD for changing settings and viewing the status of both washing and drying. The exterior incorporates LG’s Hidden Hinge Door and Push Detergent Box into its Flat design.
Controls that respond to the laundry load
AI Wash™ 2.0 uses information about fabric characteristics, soil level and load weight to adjust washing and rinsing, according to LG. AI Dry uses humidity changes, fabric type and load size to help set drying time. Its AI sensing operates with loads under five kilograms, and LG specifies that AI Dry should be used only with similar fabric types because detection does not cover every fabric.
LG says AI Time Sensing updates usage data to improve cycle estimates, which vary with the load and selected settings. After a cycle finishes, AI Laundry Report shows estimates for detergent use, energy consumption and load size on the Center Control display. Connecting to the LG ThinQ™ app on a compatible mobile device also lets users view laundry status and notifications remotely.
