What the XE75 two-pack is built to handle
- Two nodes, up to 5,500 square feet of coverage
- 6 GHz radio defaults to node-to-node backhaul; switch it to WiFi mode to serve 6E devices
- Total throughput rated up to 5,400 Mbps across three bands
The XE75 is a two-unit mesh kit that covers up to 5,500 square feet, which is a reasonable target for a large apartment, a two-floor house or a long bungalow where one router leaves dead zones.
Its tri-band design runs 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz together, with a total of up to 5,400 Mbps and support for up to 200 connected devices. The 6 GHz band is the newest of the three, and by default it carries the link between nodes rather than serving your gear directly.
We'd consider this kit if you have at least a few WiFi 6E phones, laptops or tablets that can use that band. Since the 6 GHz radio is exclusive to WiFi 6E devices, your older gadgets stay on 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz while the newer ones get a cleaner path.
What the $149.99 price means against the typical
At $149.99, the two-pack sits $23.12 below the typical price of $173.11 for this configuration over the last 90 days, which works out to 13 percent off. That makes this a solid moment to buy if the kit already fits your space.
There is no all-time-low figure in the data, so treat the 90-day mark as the context to judge the deal by rather than a record.

Placement, setup and the checks before you mount anything
You need a modem from your internet provider for the kit to work, and the Deco app walks you through the initial configuration. Once installed, the mesh learns your network environment and client behavior to shift devices between nodes.
For the 6 GHz backhaul to work as intended, put the two units within range of each other, ideally with a clear line through the middle of the home. You can also switch that band from backhaul to WiFi mode if you would rather connect your 6E phones and laptops directly.
One capability worth deciding on before buying is whether you want the paid HomeShield tier. The free side covers a network security scan, basic parental controls, QoS, IoT device identification and weekly or monthly reports, so check whether those cover your household before assuming you'll need the subscription.
When the XE75 is the wrong mesh for you
Skip this kit if most of your devices are WiFi 5 or WiFi 6 rather than 6E, because very little of your gear will use the 6 GHz band and the tri-band outlay largely goes unused.
It's also a poor fit for a small flat or studio where a single router already reaches every room. In that case the second node just adds an outlet to manage for coverage you don't need, and you can spend less on a one-unit solution.
