Warming one room without heating the whole house
- Before bringing it home, measure the floor space where it will sit and confirm a grounded outlet is nearby
- Check whether the room's circuit can handle a 1500-watt heater alongside other devices
A chilly bedroom or home office often needs heat only where you sit or sleep, not throughout the house. The Lasko Oscillating Ceramic Tower Space Heater is a ceramic tower rated at 1500 watts, and its oscillating design projects warmth across a medium-sized room. It arrives fully assembled, so you can place it and plug it in.
Two quiet heat settings let you choose between a steady stream and gentler background warmth. The thermostat holds your chosen temperature once the room reaches it, and the auto-off timer can schedule shutdown in up to 7 hours, which suits overnight use or a workday.
We'd consider this a practical pick for a renter or homeowner who wants supplemental heat in one room. A carry handle makes moving it from bedroom to office simple. If you need to heat a large open floor plan or several rooms at once, a single tower likely won't keep up.
What the $64.99 price means for your budget
At $64.99, this heater is $11.84 below the typical price over the last 90 days, a difference of 15 percent. That comparison reflects the typical price over the last 90 days, so treat the savings as a modest gap rather than a dramatic markdown.
Running costs depend on your electricity rate and how long the heater runs. The thermostat and timer can trim run time by cycling the heater or shutting it off automatically, so your actual cost will track how you use it.

Placement, household safety, and simple upkeep
Keep the tower on a flat, stable surface with clearance around the air intake and outlet so heat can move freely. The cool-touch exterior and overheat protection are designed with kids and pets in mind, but placement still matters. A tower this compact fits beside a desk or bed without dominating the room.
Because it comes assembled, there is no setup beyond finding a suitable outlet. If you use it daily, check the intake area for dust buildup and follow the maker's cleaning guidance. The 3-year limited warranty covers the unit, though it does not extend to normal wear.
When a single tower heater is the wrong fit
Skip this if you need whole-home heating or expect a space heater to replace a central system. A 1500-watt tower is best for one medium room at a time, and it will struggle in a large, open area. If your outlet is already loaded with high-draw appliances, adding a heater may trip the circuit.
Before buying, confirm the plug type and voltage your home uses, since this model is intended for standard household outlets. Check the room's layout for a safe spot away from curtains, bedding, or walkways. If you frequently move between several rooms, a second heater or a different approach may serve you better than one portable tower.
